I hope you manage to purchase all your list, can you fit a three bedroomed house in your suitcase?
beccy, enid hopes so. she doesn't want to pay excess baggage on a house. they're quite heavy even if they're small ones.
have a good trip enid I always have to send Sam Tetley tea bags and resolve. I could have got you to drop her some off in SF!! ( where in SF) will you be house hunting??
enid I meant to say what a coincidence as I gave one of my posts this title (http://mscellania.blogspot.com/2006/10/leaving-on-jet-plane.html)
Dear enid. You should bring back some vegemite from Tesco. Then invite me over for vegetmite sandwiches. And when you're not looking, I will flee... with the vegemite.
hi chris, enid's in london shopping tomorrow so tetley delivery could be arranged if sam has time to meet up?
little miss moi, your dreams are answered! enid brought a small jar of vegemite over for lawrence of australia and it turns out he doesn't like it. (enid suspects he's not really australian now.) enid has plenty of marmite herself, so she'd happily pass the vegemite on to a true aussie.
Enid, I'm glad you are a marmite person and have not sold out to the Aussies! Bring plenty of marmite to SF as it's hard to get out there and very expensive and it only comes in silly little jars not those big ones (sure you can't even get them in Ireland)!
That's a kind offer but probably too difficult to arrange.
When I first lived in Northern ireland i tried to buy Marmite and was looked at in the supermarket as if I was a little bit stupid. They also didn't sell refreshers, (sweets), or alcohol in the supermarkets (they had separate off licence bits on the side of the shops), nor did they allow children to swing on the swings in the parks on a Sunday. Things have changed now, and with the advent of Tescos and all the other supermarkets you can buy all the above and children can swing on swings on Sundays..........
Nostalgia..........
Good luck with buying a house light enough to fit in the suitcase Enid!
Sally
